A nice soak on a hot day. A greyt way to start!
This last Sunday I went to one of my favorite events... the annual Greyhound Playday!
The Playday is all about getting together with other Greyhounds and their owners. We all share on thing in common - we are very lucky to be here. We are all retired racers and not all of us end up as loved pets and family members. But we did, so why not get everybody together for a little celebration and playtime?!
Here are some pictures from the event. Some are from the playtime and some are of the games we played.
Here are a few of me running with my friends, Abi and Kayla. Don't we look good in our racing muzzles? That is Kayla in the red, Abi in the yellow and me in the green. We wear these because sometimes we get excited and love to play tag.
But it's not all running. After a good rest and soak in the pool, it's time for some games. First is the look-alike contest. My friend Nacho came along for the day, and she found her twin for the contest. She lost because of a technicality... she isn't a Greyhound. But I still think she was robbed! And she even had a much prettier bow on her collar.

Anyway, Nacho had lots of fun, even throug she didn't win. Next on to more challenging stuff... dunking for hot dogs! I loved this game and did pretty well, but there was this other big guy there that really loved hot dogs and was just a little faster getting to the bottom of the bucket. Oh well, I didn't win, but it was fun trying!
My friends Abi and Mark did pretty well also.
Hey... did they say another hot dog??
After the fun and games, there was plenty of time for visiting with friends...
My friends, Dave and Donna, enjoyed watching us all running around the track.
It was a greyt day... the smiles say it all!
