Jake Jake is our dog of the week for this week. He had a great day in the van getting all groomed and ready for his afternoon nap and tea. With his long coat all brushed he looked like a million bucks and the excellent dog that he is. Jake is the sire of pups that are doiing very well in the show ring and will soon be finished champions. Enjoy your spa day, Jake... you earned it!
Check out this Father and Son duo .. Tux and Sunny ! These boys were sparkling when their Momma Cathy, had our groomer stop by. Tux loved the warm bath, and Sunny played while he was bathed. Their whites were dazzling and they even sat in tandem for their photo shoot. Sunny is coming to our CGC class, so he can show off his new look and have some fun learning new stuff like how to act around other dogs, and how to greet strangers! I'm sure he'll make his Mom proud.
Darla Cute little Darla and her sister Maggie, are excited when the Daggy Dogs Van pull into their driveway. They both hop into the airconditioned comfort of our grooming salon on wheels, and Darla loves to keep and eye on Maggie while she is getting groomed. While both the dogs are with our groomer .. their Mom gets to have a couple of hours to herself. Happy Dogs ... and even Happier Owner !
Mia Mama Mia ... she jumped right into the van and started licking our Groomers face. Mia has come a long way from being a shelter dog, rescued by her terrific Mom, Sandy, in 2007. She had some behavior problems that Sandy has worked hard on both at home and with our Dog Trainer Rich, in private and group lessons. Also, with the help of the Excel K9 Raw Diet, Mia's internal problems have also been solved. Sandys says that Mia loves to play with her Grandkids when they come over to visit and has become a wonderful companion and Sandys' right hand gal. We are all proud to say that Mia will be graduating from the Daggy Dogs Canine Good Citizen class this month. Congratulations to Sandy and Mia, on all their hard work. Training and Grooming are Gifts we can give our dogs to say Thanks for their unconditional love and devotion.
Sarah We are lucky groomers ! Every month we get to go and visit with Sarah (pictured) and her sister Stella, and their great humans..... Sarah loves her warm bath and brush out, and Stella always entertains us. Not to mention the main reason these gals are so healthy ... their Mom and Dad take great care of them by feeding the delicious Excel K9 Raw Diet. Jarry and Annie Here's Harry .. and Annie of course ! What a delightful pair of 4-legged clients. Harry and Annie like to come into the van together for their spa day .. Annie supervises her little brothers grooming, then while he sleeps on a pristine white towel, it's her turn. Like a lot of our Aussie clients, we clip them short in summer, and then as the cooler months are coming, we wash, condition and hand blowdry - getting that winter coat to come back nice and thick. Regular grooming is essential to the overall health of dogs, and it gives real piece of mind to our clients to know that we go over their "best friends" from nose to tail, whenever we stop by.
Ms Lola, Daggy Dogs Dog ot the week! Beautiful Lola is not only a well trained dog, but she is clean and comfortable now too ! Her Dad said Lola was getting itchy a lot, so we thought we'd see how grooming her would help. She is such a special little gal, and brings a lot of energy to our group classes, so we wanted her to feel as good as she makes us feel when we see her. So, she got all cleaned up, nails, teeth, ears ... How about those ears huh? Her Mom and Dad said that after her grooming Lola was "running around all happy and she smells good too." We love ya, Lola !
Nitro Nitro and his brother Tracker, are 2 of our favorite Lab clients. These boys are just great ! Full of energy, fun to groom and they have terrific parents too. Their Mom understands that the boys need regular care to keep them in tip top shape, and just as importantly, at this time of year when dogs are shedding, grooming really helps keep the dog hair out of her house. Now they are both clean and cool. Tracker was so happy he would not stand still to get his photo taken ... but Nitro did .. and here he is !
Daggy Dogs dog of the week, Cody Little Cody-man is just about the sweetest dog I have ever met. He gets really excited when I pull up in the van to groom him, and his owner Mike, tells me that Cody cries a bit when I leave ..... I guess he loves all that attention he gets when I groom him .. and he aches a bit due to age, so I give him a little massage too! Because we're in in the van and it is such a relaxed environment, I can really take my time with Cody. Cody gets showered with love and affection and keeps his family entertained with his antics.... he is very talented ! Codys' owner Mike, is also very talented - he is a photographer and has some 2009 calendars of Muir Woods, and of Rancho Murieta that are now for sale ! I bought some for Christmas gifts - they are spectacular, and easy to mail to friends ! Click here to see some of Mike's work. See you next month Cody !
Daggy dogs Daisey and Shwlby These darling little sisters - Daisy & Shelby are a true delight. We've been grooming them every 6 weeks since early in the year, and they just love it. When the van pulls up they run and jump in and get ready for their "Spa Day", as their Mom, Debbie like to call it, and while our groomer takes care of the girls, Debbie can have a couple of hours off. A commitment to regular grooming has kept the girls in tip top shape for their morning walks around the neighborhbood with their Mom. Daisy and Shelby are very pretty Mini Australian Shepherds .. and you know how we love Aussies here at Daggy Dogs. !!
