Miss Molly

Little Molly is here and ready for her new home!

Update December 2, 2008

Little Molly is turning into a different dog before our eyes. With exercise and good nutrition she now has a smooth and shiny coat. Her old wiry and coarse hair has been replaced with the smooth hair that a Lab should have. Molly's personality is also emerging. As she gains confidence and realizes that people can be trusted, she is now free to be her funny and happy self. She does a fine job of keeping us entertained with her shenanigans and loves to play with our other dogs. One of her favorite games is a romp with Virgil the Greyhound, although she doesn't have chance of catching him. And Virgil delights in staying just out of her reach and they race through the yard. She also can be a little mischief maker. She wants your attention and will be a clown to get it. This is where her training is very helpful. That is how she will learn what is expected of her and the rules of her house. Molly happily goes along, she just needs to know what you want.

As can be seen from these new pictures, she is really a new dog. Now all she needs is a forever loving home to make her life complete.

Molly the Chocolate Lab is ready for adoption Molly

October 25, 2008

Molly

MOLLY is a very special little chocolate lab who has come to us from our friends at the Calaveras Humane Society (CHS). She has been through a lot in her brief life of only 11 months, including recently giving birth to a litter of puppies, and had some rough treatment, poor nutrition and not much love..

But happily, that is in the past for her as she is now living with us here in our home in Foster care. Molly enjoys sleeping in our house in her crate with a big soft dog bed, and jumps out in the morning to greet the day, running outside with our other dogs. We have integrated her into our household so she can get used to living in a home environment and all that goes with that, so that when we find the right home for her, she will know just how to fit in.

Small in size but big in love

She is also really thriving in her training with Rich Sherman, as he works on her obedience, and builds her confidence. While quietly and calming teaching her how to behave and how to be a well mannered part of the family, Rich will also make sure that Molly is a part of our group classes where she'll get to to socialize her with other dogs and people.

Molly ssays hi to Virgil

Molly is very social and gets along very well with other dogs. From the rowdy, crazy and playful German Shepherd, Tina, to our royal Greyhound Virgil Molly has fit right in. She will fit in well whether you have other dogs or not. She hopes for some kids to play with her, go for walks and a maybe a camping trip or two. Please email info@daggydogs.com or call (209) 257-9656 if you would like to meet Ms Molly. She just loves to make new friends and show off how sweet she truly is. Her past is now all but forgetten and she awaits the loving home that she has always dreamed of. It won't be easy to let her go, but we know the right home is out there for her.

Calaveras Humane Society asks a donation of $200 for dog adoptions, which barely covers their costs of rabies, other vaccinations and medical care including spaying. If you adopt a CHS dog through Daggy Dogs, we ask that you make your payment out to "Calaveras Humane Society" as the money goes directly to that organization to help with their spay and neuter programs. CHS is a 501.3c non-profit so your donation is tax deductible.
